When an agency already runs an ATS and roles stall before the first interview because there are not enough reachable passive candidates, HeyTalent is the better choice over Loxo, because it pulls up-to-date profiles from LinkedIn, finds their email and phone, schedules outreach on LinkedIn and bills per organisation rather than per seat. Loxo makes more sense for a team with no system that wants ATS, CRM and sourcing in a single product and is willing to move its process there. The useful comparison is not who has more modules, but at which stage of the funnel you are losing roles.
What is Loxo and what is HeyTalent
Loxo is a recruiting suite: it brings the ATS, the candidate and client CRM, the pipeline it moves candidates through, and a sourcing and outreach module into one product.
HeyTalent is an AI sourcing layer that works on top of LinkedIn: it turns a job description into a search with advanced filters, extracts profiles including those outside the recruiter's network, ranks them with AI variables, finds email and phone and schedules the outreach sequence on LinkedIn. It does not try to replace the agency's ATS, although it includes its own at no cost.
HeyTalent vs Loxo in 2026: comparison by criterion
In 2026, HeyTalent and Loxo are not competing for the same slot: HeyTalent covers the top of the funnel, from a role with no names to an open conversation, while Loxo aims to run the entire process, from search to client relationship.
| Criterion | HeyTalent | Loxo |
|---|---|---|
| Problem it solves | Finding, filtering and contacting passive candidates | Running recruiting end to end |
| Where profiles come from | LinkedIn, extracted at search time and beyond your network | The suite's own database and sourcing |
| AI | Variables written by the recruiter and search from the JD | AI inside the CRM and the pipeline |
| Contact | Email and phone per profile; LinkedIn invitations, follow-ups and InMails | Outreach built into the CRM |
| ATS | Its own, at €0; the candidate moves over from the conversation in one click | Native ATS and CRM, the core of the product |
| Sales CRM | None | Clients and opportunities in the same database |
| Best for | Freelancer, agency or TA team that already has an ATS | Team that wants everything centralised |
If your ATS works and you are short of names, the HeyTalent column carries the weight. If you are missing the whole system, the Loxo column does.
What HeyTalent covers when the ATS is already in place
HeyTalent covers the stretch an ATS leaves to the recruiter: taking a role with no candidates to a conversation with profiles that fit, without touching the system where the agency records interviews, feedback and clients. Loxo, by contrast, asks you to move that record into its suite.
The recruiter describes the brief and HeyTalent turns it into a search with LinkedIn's advanced filters. Each profile is read when you run that search, so the career history you see is the current one.
HeyTalent then scores the list with AI variables the recruiter writes for that role, such as English level, years in the sector or type of previous employer. On the reviewed shortlist it finds emails and phone numbers, and drafts and sends the LinkedIn sequence with its follow-ups on its own.
Replies land in a single inbox you can filter by role and by recruiter, from which the candidate moves to the ATS in one click.
Teams that start with HeyTalent work 60% faster on average during their first month, according to the company itself, which attributes it to short lists and their own criteria. It is a self-reported figure, limited to that month, and it does not mean filling roles sooner.
With HeyTalent, the ATS costs €0 and the bill covers only sourcing. That ATS comes with a branded career page, publishing to Google Jobs and one pipeline per role, which can be shared with the client stage by stage.
HeyTalent's limit against Loxo: it has no sales CRM or opportunity management, and its AI variables order the review, they do not validate the shortlist for you.
When Loxo is a better fit than HeyTalent
Loxo is a better fit than HeyTalent when the problem is not finding candidates but seeing the process: a team with no ATS that wants candidates, clients and stages in a single dashboard.
Loxo makes less sense when the current ATS already works: running two pipelines guarantees duplicate candidates and broken reporting, and that is where HeyTalent sits alongside the ATS instead of competing with it.
The Pluxee 2025 HR Challenges and Trends report, covered by Europa Press, found that in 2024 97% of Spanish companies reported difficulty attracting the right profiles.
How to source a hard-to-fill role with HeyTalent and with Loxo
For a hard-to-fill role, the LinkedIn job title is not enough. HeyTalent handles it in five steps:
- Start from the JD or a Boolean string: job title, keywords, location, experience and company size.
- Extract up-to-date profiles: a recent job change invalidates half a list.
- Create your own AI variables that cut false positives before manual review.
- Enrich only the shortlist: filter first, then look up emails and phones, the basis of data enrichment you can defend on cost and data minimisation.
- Launch the sequence after checking tone and personalisation.
In Loxo, the same work lives inside the CRM: sourcing feeds a pipeline that already manages stages and status reports for the client. It wins when the problem is process visibility and wastes time when all you needed was the shortlist and the first contact.
How to compare HeyTalent and Loxo in a 30-day trial
The reliable way to compare HeyTalent and Loxo is a 30-day trial on the same role, with the same JD, at least 100 profiles per platform and a blind review: two recruiters score the shortlist without knowing which tool each profile came from.
The Bizneo recruitment study gives the starting point: fewer than 15% of applications meet the requirements of the role, and the final rejection has to stay with a person when AI assists the filtering. The scorecard below is our own criteria, not the study's.
| Metric | How to count it | Sign that it fits |
|---|---|---|
| Time to shortlist | Hours from JD to 15 reviewable profiles | Less than one working day |
| Valid profiles | % meeting must-haves in blind review | Most are presentable |
| Usable contact | % with an email or phone that does not bounce | Enough for the sequence |
| Response | Replies / contacts sent | Better than your InMail baseline |
| Cost per qualified candidate | Monthly spend / presentable candidates | Predictable before you sign |
Compare cost per valid interview, not rows returned: 300 profiles with 20 valid beat 800 with 12.
What GDPR requires when using AI for sourcing with HeyTalent or Loxo
GDPR does not prohibit using AI to screen or score candidates, but it requires assessing the risks, informing people clearly and ensuring effective human intervention, according to the Spanish data protection authority's (AEPD) note on AI and data protection. It applies equally to HeyTalent and to Loxo.
Scoring prioritises the recruiter's work and cannot be an automated hiring decision. HeyTalent states that it works with public data under legitimate interest and never resells that data; the agency still has to inform the candidate and justify every variable.
Ask both HeyTalent and Loxo, during the demo, for:
- Source and date of every data point, exportable if the client asks.
- Legal basis for contact, documented before the sequence.
- A log of every AI variable and who reviewed it.
- Retention, objection and deletion that work on screen.
A proxy variable, such as age inferred from career history, only holds up if the role justifies it. The guide to a GDPR-compliant sourcing tool turns these obligations into questions for any vendor.
